Attahiyat is an Arabic word that means ‘Greetings’ or ‘Salutation’ and it refers to Attahiyat Lillahi wa Salawat Dua that is recited when a person is in a sitting position.
The Dua consists of greetings to Allah and sending peace and blessings upon The Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) and upon all the righteous slaves of Allah and is followed by two testimonials.

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ، وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

When to recite Attahiyat
Attahiyat is one of the pillars of performing valid Salah that must be followed, if missed intentionally the prayer won’t be valid. It is recited whenever a person sits or kneels down during the second Rakah and the last Rakah of the prayer (salah).
For example, in Isha Salah it would be after the 2nd and 4th Rakat. in Magrib Namaz (Prayer) it would be 2nd and 3rd Rakah
Dua Variations
While what we already mentioned is the most common and sufficient to recite, there are indeed other variations that are as authentic as the 1st one and you can either alternate between them in different Salah or choose only one to recite. here are only 2 variation:
1st Variation
التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ الزَّاكِيَاتُ لِلَّهِ الطَّيِّبَاتُ الصَّلَوَاتُ لِلَّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Transliteration: ‘At-tahiyatu lillah, az-zakiyatu lillah, at-tayibatu wa’s-salawatu lillah. As-salamu alayka ayyuha’nnabiyyu wa rahmatu’llahi wa barakatuhu. As-salamu alayna wa ala ibadi’llahi s-salihin. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa ‘llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh.
Translation: Greetings belong to Allah. Pure actions belong to Allah. Good words and prayers belong to Allah. Peace on you, Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and on the slaves of Allah who are salihun. I testify that there is no god except Allah. And I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.
2nd Variation
التَّحِيَّاتُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ الصَّلَوَاتُ الزَّاكِيَاتُ لِلَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ .
Transliteration: At-tahiyatu, at-tayibatu, as- salawatu, az-zakiyatu lillah. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa’llah, wahdahu la sharika llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu. Translation: Greetings, good words, prayers, and pure actions belong to Allah. I testify that there is no god except Allah, alone without a partner, and I testify that Muhammad is the slave of Allah and His Messenger.
