Allahumma Ajirni Fi Musibati Wa Akhlif li Khairan Minha Dua is a powerful Dua that our Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) taught us that those who recite it in times of calamity and utters Allah will compensate who do so with rewards and better substitutes.

The full Dua is written in Arabic with the Diacritical as:
اللَّهُمَّ أجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيْبَتي، وأخْلِفْ لِي خَيْراً مِنْهَا
and Without the Diacritical:
اللهم آجرني في مصيبتي، واخلف لي خيرا منها
Transliteration
Allahumma Ajirni Fi Musibati Wa Akhlif li Khairan Minha
Meaning
” O Allah! Compensate me for my calamity, recompense my loss, and give me something better instead of it“
The dua uses The word “Musibati” which in Arabic means affliction or hardship. It refers to any situation that causes lasting pain, grief, or distress. So much so That Allah is the only one who can alleviate their afflictions and provide them with relief.
Moreover, the latter part of the dua, “Wa Akhlif li Khairan Minha,” asks Allah to grant something better in return reflects a deep trust that Allah, in His infinite wisdom, has the power to replace or compensate the hardship with something more beneficial and better.

Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “When a person suffers from a calamity and utters: ‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.
