A man from among the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) [ﷺ] who was called 'Ubaid said: "The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] used to forbid too much of Al-Irfah." Ibn Buraidah was asked what too much of Al-Irfah meant, and he said: "It includes combing the hair."
