Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْخَمْسِ‏:‏ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ، وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ، وَفِتْنَةِ الصَّدْرِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ‏.‏

Translation

English translation

'Umar said, "The Prophet, (ﷺ), used to seek refuge from five things:

laziness, miserliness, bad pride, the trial of what is in the breast, and the punishment of the grave."
